• Adult Presentence Evaluation

Designed for adult presentence evaluation, this test evolved from the Offender Assessment Index. It has 158 items and takes 35 minutes to complete. The Adult Presentence Evaluation's 7 test scales (measures) include:

The Adult Presentence Evaluation classifies substance abuse and dependency in terms of DSM-IV criteria, while concurrently measuring alcohol and drug use severity. It is appropriate for misdemeanor and felony offender assessment.

• Adult Treatment Outcome

Adult Treatment Outcome software compares pretest (before treatment) results with posttest (after treatment) results and prints an automated comparison report. Outcome or "counseling/treatment effectiveness" tests must be able to show improvement, staying the same or deterioration. To attain that objective "history" items must be minimized. The tests frame of reference is the "here-and-now."

• Defendant Questionnaire

Designed for Adult (male and female) court related defendant assessment. The Defendant Questionnaire is appropriate for drug courts and general court (misdemeanor and felony) populations. The Truthfulness Scale detects denial, deception and attempts to "fake good." The Domestic Violence Inventory is a popular and widely used adult domestic violence perpetrator assessment instrument or test. It has been standardized on over 115,000 domestic violence offenders.

• Domestic Violence Inventory Pre-Post

Designed for measuring domestic violence treatment outcome. This same test is given before and after treatment. Upon posttest the report compares pre-post test results. The test has 147 items and takes 30 minutes to complete. The 6 test scales include:

Although this test evolved from the Domestic Violence Inventory, it objectively compares pretest and posttest scores. To accurately measure attitude and behavioral change historical items have been minimized. The pretest (before treatment) serves as a baseline for posttest (after treatment) comparison. The DVI Pre-Post is one of a few tests that provide an "outcome measure." • Driver Inventory

The Driver Inventory was developed in response to evaluator's who wanted to focus upon driver attitudes, temperament and outlook. This test is appropriate for males and females and takes 20 minutes to administer. It has 5 scales which include:

• Driver Risk Inventory-II

Designed for DUI/DWI offender assessment. This test incorporates DSM-IV substance abuse classification criteria with independent measures of alcohol and drug abuse severity. The DRI-II has been standardized on over one and a half million DUI/DWI offenders. It has 140 items and takes 25 to 30 minutes to complete. The 6 DRI-II scales (measures) include:

Rated the best by NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), this is a popular DUI/DWI offender assessment instrument that is widely used in the U.S.A. and two Canadian provinces.

• Driver Risk Inventory-II Short Form

Designed for use in high volume assessment settings, or as an alternative test for reading impaired drivers. Because of its brevity, the Short Form can be read to a client or group in 20 minutes. It has 73 items and takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete. The 5 DRI-Short Form scales (measures) include:

The Substance Abuse/Dependency Scale utilizes DSM-IV criteria for substance abuse and dependency classification. The Alcohol Scale and Drugs Scale measure "severity" of alcohol and drug abuse.

• 1st Offense Inventory

The 1st Offense Inventory is designed for first offense (male and female) assessment. This test is particularly useful in defendant, presentence, pretrial and probation settings.

The 1st Offense Inventory consists of 122 true, false and multiple choice items. It takes 20 to 25 minutes on average to complete and has a fifth grade reading level. The assessment has seven scales (measures):

Designed for gambler assessment. The GAI has 166 items and takes 35 minutes to complete. The 7 GAI scales (measures) include:

The GAI assesses important gambler attitudes and behaviors. It is estimated that there are over 12 million problem gamblers in the United States and many have substance (alcohol and drugs) abuse problems, stress handling difficulties and other emotional conflicts. Gamblers have a higher incidence of suicide than other clinical groups.

• Offender Assessment Index

This assessment is an adult court test that is appropriate for evaluating misdemeanor and felony defendants, both male and female. The OAI has 158 items and takes 30 minutes to complete. The OAI's 7 scales (measures) include:

The Offender Assessment Index scales measure important offender attitudinal (resistance), problem (alcohol/drugs) and behavioral (violence) areas of inquiry. The OAI classifies substance abuse with DSM-IV criteria, while concurrently measuring alcohol and drug abuse severity.

Designed for parolee assessment. The PI has 135 items and takes 30 to 35 minutes to complete. The 8 PI scales (measures) include:

The Parolee Inventory is an objective, comprehensive and standardized screening instrument that examines important attitudes and behaviors. Very few assessment instruments or tests are designed specifically for parolee evaluation.

Designed for objective pretest-posttest "outcome" comparison. The Pre-Post Inventory has 148 items and takes 30 minutes to complete. The 7 Pre-Post Inventory scales (measures) include:

The Pre-Post Inventory provides an objective outcome measure for evaluating intervention, counseling or treatment effectiveness. The same test is administered twice. The pretest (before treatment) serves as a baseline against which the posttest (after treatment) is compared.

The Prison Inmate Inventory Version 2 differs from the PII in that the Self-Esteem scale was replaced with a Gambling Scale. Many prison inmates manifest gambling problems.

Designed for screening applicants who have had their driver's license suspended or revoked and are applying for reinstatement of their driver's license. This test has 124 items and takes 25 minutes to complete. The RRI's 6 scales (measures) include:

This test explores the questions, "Has the applicant changed since their driver's license was suspended or revoked?" Very few, if any, other tests have been designed specifically for "driver's license reinstatement."

• Reinstatement Review Inventory-II

This assessment or test is another approach to screening applicants applying for reinstatement of their driver's license after having had their license suspended or revoked. The Reinstatement Review Inventory has 6 scales (measures) which include:

The Reinstatement Review Inventory-II replaced the Reinstatement Review Inventory's "Road Rage Scale" with the "Stress Coping Abilities Scale." This test explores the question "Has the applicant changed since their driver's license was suspended or revoked?" It also assesses important barriers for reinstatement.

• Self-Assessment Index

Designed for welfare recipient screening in welfare-to-work programs. It has 103 items and takes 20 minutes to complete. The Self-Assessment Index has 5 scales (measures) which include:

This test screens substance (alcohol and drugs) abuse, work attitudes, motivation and stress coping - important attitudes and behaviors for understanding welfare-to-work participants. Test results can be used to coordinate intervention, treatment and vocational rehabilitation services. This also identifies barriers to employability so they can be positively worked through.

• Self-Assessment Index c

In response to user requests, the terminology was changed from "welfare recipient" to "client." The revised "client" version was named the Self-Assessment Index-c. This assessment instrument or test is designed for "work programs." It has 103 items, takes 20 minutes to complete and has the same 5 scales that are in the Self-Assessment Index:

• Self Audit

The Self-Audit (SA) is designed for adult (male and female) counseling and treatment program intake. The SA can also be used in HMO's, EAP programs, courts, probation and community corrections. The SA has 160 items and takes 30 to 35 minutes to complete. It contains 9 scales (measures):

The Suicide Evaluation is designed to help identify suicidal individuals. Suicide Evaluation focuses on identifying people that are at risk of taking their own lives. It is a reliable, valid and accurate suicide screening instrument or test. It has 142 items and takes 25 to 30 minutes to complete. The 6 test scales include:

The Suicide Evaluation test assists mental health professionals, courts, probation departments, counseling and treatment programs to incorporate suicide risk assessment into their client, patient and offender screening programs. This test is a concise or shorter version of the SAQ-Adult Probation III. The SAQ-Short Form is brief and to the point, yet provides important attitudinal and behavioral information. The Risk Scale measures defendant's/probationer's danger to self and others. The SAQ-Short Form has 64 items and can be completed in 20 minutes. The SAQ-Short Form has 4 scales which include:
